Sr. Veterinary Technician: Reviewing animal’s medical record and consulting with owners as to injury and treatment. Using experience and logical observation to determine the animal’s condition and relaying relevant information to the doctor. Assisting doctor in examination and following his directions regarding treatment. Assisting doctor in positioning animals for exam and treatment. Preparing medical equip. & medical supplies to enable doctor to perform surgery. Monitoring animals after surgeries. Obtaining blood samples. Administering first aid, anesthetics & pain killers. Assisting doctor with large farm animals, emergencies, & animals delivery. Vaccinating animals. Must live within reasonable distance to assist with on call emergencies. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays, if needed. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, File Maker, and veterinary practice management software. Must be experienced in using laryngoscopes, emergency suction units, nebulizers, X-ray machines, centrifuges, biochemistry/CPC/hematology/electrolyte analyzers, and microscopes. Needs assoc. degree (or foreign equivalent) in Veterinary care, Veterinary Technology or related field. Needs 5 years exp. as a Sr. Veterinary Tech. or Veterinarian. Mail resumes to Dr. David A.
