Is seeking a highly-qualified and experienced HOSPITAL DIRECTOR to provide leadership, direction and prioritization for all services within the hospital. This individual will provide support to the entire hospital to ensure objectives met in order to continuously improve processes and practices.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Oversee hospital operations including:
Apply creative, strategic thinking to system problems to arrive at new solutions that further the company’s goals
Manage hospital budgets and projections for growth
Assist in the formulation of objectives and policies to ensure efficient and profitable hospital operations
Supervise preparation of all business accounting reports and transactions. Assure that proper methods and techniques are being used
Review all accounts payable and receivables to confirm that each is accurate and timely:
Oversee the building and equipment, and IT infrastructure maintenance and housekeeping standards
Oversee the purchase of supplies and equipment
Develop and enforce hospital wide quality standards, including establishment of AAHA Accreditation and OSHA Safety Standards, in conjunction with hospital management teamDirect and develop the veterinary and technical staff:
Create a compelling vision for all AESC staff and effectively communicates that vision throughout the organization and to internal and external stakeholders including customers, the business, professional, and regulatory communities, peers, associates, and employees at all levels of the organization
Oversee and inspire entire administrative/management team using clear communication skills, delegation and mentorship
Evaluate doctor staffing needs for all locations and Assist in recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of new veterinarians
Coordinate with managers to obtain optimal staffing to assure maximum productivity and service
Coordinate with Training and Recruitment Manager to recruit, interview, and hire support staff personnel
Participate and coordinate with other managers to ensure 24-hr availability of managerial support to hospital staff
Approve job descriptions for new positions
In conjunction with Practice Manager, supervise support staff personnel and act as the direct authority regarding disciplinary procedures, discharging, and all the legal responsibilities of employment
Mediate personnel problems, maintain employee motivation, and structure continuing education for support staff personnel
Attend/run departmental and hospital meetings as scheduled
Disseminate appropriate information to Departments and/or Supervisors
Ensure proper legal regulatory compliance, including controlled substances and charging appropriately for services
Direct and develop the veterinary and technical staff towards the goal of state of the art quality patient care and excellence
Organize and oversee continuing education programs, including development of in house CE programMarketing:
Promote effective communication within the hospital and externally by:
Further develop and monitor hospital marketing programs
Communicate appropriately with referring veterinarians and community at large to not only successfully uphold AESC’s current Mission Statements, but to further both by maintaining their reputation and increasing their geographic area of influence.
Responsible for seeing that success is achieved with each client interaction with the veterinary hospital staff. Mediate client disputes and service related issues
Review fee schedule for services, products, and increases or changes as necessary
With GP, coordinate planned remodel/expansion of AESC facility
Assist in planning and launch of new Satellite facility in Castle Rock
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum of Bachelors Degree in a Business, prior Veterinary clinical management experience and/or 7+ years of medical business operations work experience required (DVM or Masters Degree preferred)
Excellent management skills and ability to organize and plan effectively to meet both short and long range goals and objectives.
High degree of emotional intelligence, experience building and maintaining a healthy business culture.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to convey business requirements and technical needs in a clear, concise, and effective manner.
Proven ability to lead and motivate others in accomplishing goals, influences and impacts others through clear reasoned argument.
Ability to exercise professional judgment and assume responsibility for decisions which have an impact on people, quality of service, and costs
Ability to manage multiple project plans successfully and simultaneously
Experience in mentoring/teaching
Evaluate developing medical information, to anticipate its potential impact, communicates implications and develops strategies for clinical and regulatory issues
Manages safety related issues using critical medical and regulatory analytical strategies to develop optimal solutions

Employee is required to: sit, stand, walk, talk, see, and hear, for up to 8-10 hours/day. This position requires occasional lifting, up to 30lbs.
