Lyons Veterinary Clinic (LVC) is seeking a mixed animal associate veterinarian to join our practice in Central Kansas. Established for over 50 years, Lyons Veterinary Clinic offers a newly remodeled small animal facility that has two exam rooms, grooming room, surgery suite, lab/pharmacy treatment area, three wards for boarding and hospitalized patients, and a large fenced in dog play area. Practice management software is Idexx Cornerstone and it is fully integrated with our in-house Idexx cbc/chemistry/UA analyzers, and digital radiography. In addition, we offer endoscopy, ultrasound, laser surgery, laser therapy, dentistry, soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. Two years ago, we finished our new large animal facility featuring a Silencer hydraulic chute, remote turret gate, scales, and sorting pens. We also have equine stocks, pens, and a power float for dentistry. Large animal work is primarily cow/calf, stocker and feedlot with some equine and exotics. Small animal patients are primarily dogs and cats. LVC also houses the pound for Rice County, and we work closely with a 501c3 rescue organization, and have our own cremation unit.
Dr. Scott Randolph and Dr. Debra Randolph-Zwick (brother and sister) own the business which consists of two facilities that work closely together (LVC in Lyons, KS and Ark Veterinary Clinic in Sterling, KS). Our Ark Veterinary Clinic has been newly remodeled with similar features on the small and large animal side. Plus, we offer orthopedic surgeries (ACL and patella luxation repair) and large animal exotic work for the neighboring Exotic Animal Farm/Bed and Breakfast. Just completed last year, we have a new, high-end boarding and grooming facility with indoor/outdoor suites and large outdoor play area. The employees (working at both clinics) are 3 full-time veterinarians, 3 full-time and 4 part-time secretaries, 3 full-time and 1 part-time vet technicians, 3 full-time and 1 part-time kennel technicians. Our office hours (both clinics) are M-F 8am-5pm and Sat 8-12.
We currently need to find a replacement for our associate veterinarian who is moving back to her hometown to work. Veterinarians applying for this position need to be motivated, compassionate, ethical, hard working and be a team player who would like to work in a close-knit clinic. We have a combined 39 years experience, excellent patient/client care, and loyal clientele. We are on a 3 week on-call rotation as well as work every 3rd Saturday. Benefits include paid CE, professional dues, vacation, sick days, Simple IRA Match, health insurance, short and long term disability, maternity leave, and pet discounts. Our new associate would have their own office space and use of vet truck to drive. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience. There is a possible opportunity of buy in/out for the right individual.
