Progressive, AAHA accredited small animal hospital has an opening for an experienced, energetic Veterinarian licensed in or eligible for licensing in the state of Maryland. The ideal candidate should be outgoing withgoodcommunicationskills and comfortable dealing with clients in a variety of situations. The candidate will work full or part-time with a team of professional, highly skilled Veterinarians and support personnel in a modern hospital environment.
The hospital employs numerous support staff including front office personnel, veterinary technicians, and veterinary assistants to help with doctor efficiency and client needs, while two veterinary emergency centers in the area provide critical care and emergency coverage as needed. After hours care is limited and usually involves phone advice only. The hospital has an excellent reputation in the local area with an emphasis on strong staff development and long-term employment. We are well known for our culture of mentoring young veterinarians over our nearly 40 years of existence, including developing their surgical and dental skills. Our association with CAPNA (Companion Animal Practices North America) allows us to offer more educational opportunities for our veterinarians; for example we recently hosted a dental seminar for CAPNA hospitals on the east coast and had two boarded veterinary dentists instructing the doctors, including a wet lab portion.
