Our Referral Center and 24 Hour Emergency/Critical Care Hospital is well established (over 27 years) and is actively seeking the services of a doctor to join our emergency/critical care staff.
We offer a wide variety of specialists which includes Cardiology, Dermatology, Emergency/Critical Care (currently staffed with two residency trained doctors in EMCC), Internal Medicine, Neurology/Neurosurgery, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Rehabilitative Therapy and Surgery. We also have on site CT Scan and MRI capabilities.
The Regional Veterinary Referral Center was founded on the concept that state-of-the-art medical and surgical care should be readily available to the general public for their pets. Our team approach and cumulative experience encourages timely and multi-disciplinary evaluations. Our unique blend of specialists currently sees referrals from the entire Mid-Atlantic region and right now is the only facility in the Virginia-Washington DC-Maryland area that is privately owned.
We are looking for the right individual that wants to come into the Northern Virginia area and join an established practice within a flourishing referral environment. We are extensively equipped including in house diagnostic laboratory capabilities, digital radiology, ultrasound, capabilities for mechanical ventilation (Pulmonetic), and central telemetric monitoring throughout the hospital.

The position is a full time position in our emergency and critical care department. All experience levels will be considered including new graduates. Salary and benefits will be based on experience and can be discussed further during the interview process.

Attend meetings at local associations.
Visit area veterinarians in an attempt to promote the Emergency/Critical Care Service within the veterinary community (participate in lunch and learns, CE, sponsorships etc.)
Additional hours around the six major holidays will be divided amongst the staff veterinarians during or around the holiday period as needed. This would include New Year's Eve/Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Eve/Day.
Assume a managerial posture during the shifts you are working with regards to other personnel and the running of the hospital.
Support and promote the hospital within the veterinary community.
