Looking for a Clinical Care Veterinary Medical Officer (DVM) to fill a position at the Fort Wainwright Veterinary Treatment Facility. Qualified applicant will perform professional veterinary duties to include investigation, examination, diagnosis and treatment of animal illness and disease as well as preventive veterinary care to include vaccinations, health certificates and advising clients on nutrition and behavior. Qualified applicant is also competent in surgery and dental prophylactic procedures, radiography, performing and interpreting laboratory data, and maintaining health records and reports.
The clinic is currently equipped with three examination rooms, one preparation room with wet table, one operating room, digital radiography and ultrasound capabilities, in-house blood machines, fecal centrifuge and microscopy capabilities.
The section currently employs five personnel including one veterinarian and ample support staff for addition of a second veterinarian.
The position is currently listed as part-time (minimum 20 hours) with medical, retirement, and paid time off benefits. However, position may be altered to fit the applicants lifestyle if fewer hours or a more flexible schedule is desired.
Qualified applicant must possess a degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree obtained at a school or college of veterinary medicine accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education (AVMA).
Qualified applicants must possess a state license to practice veterinary medicine (may be a valid state license from any U.S. state).

Additional Salary Information: Salary is pro-rated based on a 40 hour work week. Flexible hours available at $35.94 to $40.37 per hour.
