Emergency clinicians and third criticalist needed for busy 24/7 emergency and specialty practice in Syracuse, NY. The emergency and critical care services are expanding, and we are looking for energetic and compassionate doctors to join our team. Emergency and critical care clinicians work alongside the other specialists, which include internal medicine, surgery, radiology, medical oncology, and cardiology. Our pain management service includes physical rehabilitation, acupuncture, chiro and massage.
The emergency service is currently supported by 2 criticalists, providing ample opportunity to learn new skills and enhance knowledge base. Criticalists are always on-call after hours for consultations, 24 hours a day. Emergency clinicians work 11-13 shifts per month with ample time off to play! The ER schedule has been constructed by the ER doctors, and we maintain flexibility to adjust the schedule to ensure a balanced life style.
Criticalists work 3-4 days per week, mostly daytime shifts with occasional swing shifts. Criticalists have primary responsibility for hospitalized patients admitted through ER or transferred from Surgery, Internal Medicine or Oncology. Some primary ER case responsibility will help a criticalist maintain efficient ER skills. Criticalists also provide support for the ER Service by consulting on diagnostic work-ups and guiding treatment plans.
Excellent pay and benefits. Internship trained individuals or individuals with a few years experience in emergency medicine will be highly considered for the emergency clinician position. New graduates will also be considered, for the right individual. Residency trained or board certified criticalists will be considered for the criticalist position.
