Animal Hospital of Nashua is rapidly expanding and seeking an experienced general practicioner to join our satellite general practice this Fall/Winter 2018! A candidate must be self-sufficient, possess strong client communication skills, and share in our values of excellent veterinary medicine and client care. This position has the support of our main 24-HR veterinary hospital's multi-doctor team to include our 24-HR ICU team; Board-Certified Surgeon; Internal Medicine Specialist; and Medical Director(s).

Our satellite practice has been a apart of the Amherst, New Hampshire community for 5+ years. Our main location has been a part of the local greater Nashua, New Hampshire community for over 33+ years and the first practice to offer 24-HR emergency care north of the greater Boston area. We are proud to be voted among the top 5 veterinary hospitals in North America in 2012 by AAHA and accepted our 25 year AAHA membership award in April 2017.
Located in the quaint, quintessential New England town of Amherst, New Hampshire, our practice is located approximately 20 miles west of the Gate City of Nashua, New Hampshire; 50 miles northwest of Boston, Massachusetts, and 20 miles north of the Massachusetts boarder. We are further approximately 15 minutes away from the Mondanock, New Hampshire Region and 1 hour west of the southern Vermont boarder.
Our general practice services include wellness exams, vaccinations, preventative care, diagnostics, and more! We use an electronic medical records system that connects in real-time with our main location in and is shared by our entire network of practitioners, clinicians, and Specialists. We have an in-house laboratory and a full surgery suite! We see a mix of urgent care and wellness care.
We believe in a collaborative approach to veterinary medicine. We have Board-Certified specialists available to assist our veterinarian(s). Veterinarian Skills and Qualifications
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of New Hampshire.
Internship trained and/or 3-5 years in private practice preferred.
Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members and clients.
Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets.
A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
Develop and maintain trusting client relationships with every client who visits the hospital.
Perform the primary functions of a small animal veterinarian, namely, examine and treat patients, prescribe treatments, perform surgery.
Respond appropriately to the caseload of the hospital as directed by the staff.
Provide follow-up communication and care, as appropriate, for all cases treated.
Provide follow-up communication and care for any patient, as requested.
Assist in retaining existing clients, developing new clients and enhancing the hospital reputation in the community through community outreach.
Participate in providing continuing education for our staff.
Attend and participate in all team and individual meetings as requested.
