Lake Austin Blvd. Animal Hospital located in Austin, TX is looking for an experienced Practice Manager to join our team. We are a compassionate and progressive, small animal 3-doctor hospital that practices high-quality medicine.
Our ideal candidate has experience in human resources, client relations, finance, team leadership, social media, and strong organizational skills.
Job summary: includes, but not limited to: Promote the practice and identify areas of positive change. Find ways to increase revenues and control costs. Develop and implement hospital policies including controlled drugs and OSHA compliance. Manage hospital inventory in Avimark, including ordering, receiving and pricing in order to ensure adequate supplies are in stock. Manage online pharmacy. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with medical and computer equipment. Oversee building maintenance. Hire and oversee training of Staff – Reception, Technicians, and Kennel. Maintain employee benefits program including health insurance. Generate schedules for staff including Doctors. Perform monthly staff meetings and evaluations of staff when due. Ensure client service is of the highest caliber and resolve any conflicts that may arise. Oversee social media services. Work with the bookkeeper to process payroll and ensure that all accounts payables are accurate. Facilitate accounts receivables billing and payments.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred. 3-5 years of management experience Experience in an animal hospital preferred
Knowledge/Skills: Proficient in Avimark, computers, medical equipment (Idexx Laboratory, Digital Radiology, etc) Problem-solving and time management Oral and written communication skills Social media Love and compassion for animals
This is a full-time position. Benefits include vacation, holidays, sick time and health Insurance. Compensation based on experience.
