We are looking for a mixed animal practitioner and/or small animal practitioner willing to practice quality veterinary medicine. We are looking for a team player who has good communication skills, compassion, and a strong work ethic. We believe in creating a welcoming, family-like atmosphere in which staff and clients are treated with the respect they deserve, and in which patients are treated with compassion and expertise.
Vale Veterinary Hospital is a mixed animal practice in Vale, NC. We practice the best possible quality medicine while being in a rural setting, but not far from several big cities. It is staffed by the practice owners and one full time associate veterinarian. The practice owners graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 and the associate graduated from University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018.
The practice is approximately 75-80% small animal. The large animal practice is mainly beef cattle, small runinants, and equine, but it also includes some dairy cattle, swine, and camelids. We provide 24 hour emergency care for large animals only. We have an exceptional staff, some of whom we have known for 10 years, including 6 registered technicians, receptionist, and 3 assistants. Our associate veterinarian does exotic animal medicine also and will see everything. We will see any species and look for a well rounded veterinarian that would welcome the challenge of seeing any species that walks in the door. We will help with mentoring and there is always another veterinarian around to bounce ideas off of.
The veterinary hospital was built in 2010 which has both small and large animal capabilities. The small animal practice includes a digital x-ray machine, GE Sound ultrasound, in-house Idexx blood analyzer machines, K-Laser therapy, Idexx Urinary Analyzer, and two isoflurane/sevoflurane anesthesia machines.
The large animal practice has a portable digital x-ray machine, power float equipment, and reproductive ultrasound equipment and portable ultrasound machine along with 3 mobile veterinary units. Our practice radius is approximately 50 miles. Emergency calls are forwarded to the doctor on call for large animal only. There is a rotation between 2 other doctors for the on-call schedule.
We are eager to establish a long term working relationship with a veterinarian who would welcome the rewards and challenges of a mixed animal practice in this rural setting. We would love to attract someone with a strong interest in small animal medicine but be willing to practice on large animals as well. New graduates are welcome to apply.
