Emergency Veterinarian

VCA Mueller Pet Medical Center and Pet Inn is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our AAHA-accredited, 13-doctor practice in Sacramento, California as an Overnight Emergency Veterinarian.  We value a work-life balance and are open to a flex-schedule for the appropriate candidate. This newly remodeled hospital is open 24 hours per day offering both general practice and emergency care.  Our well-equipped hospital has electronic medical records, digital radiography, blood analyzers, and ultrasound. The Sacramento region has an ideal year round climate with numerous recreational options, including hiking, mountain biking, water sports, skiing, wine tasting, and camping. It is only an hour and a half drive from San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, or Napa Valley with all their accompanying activities. Sacramento is a large metropolitan city with a small town feel. There are many world-class restaurants, fun outdoor cafes, and art theaters to visit.

Skills and Qualifications:

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
• Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to be employed.
• Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
• The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members.
• Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets.
