We are an AAHA accredited and privately owned small animal hospital located in Midlothian, VA which is located 25 minutes from downtown Richmond. We are searching for an additional qualified associate veterinarian for our team. We have been open for 10 years and pride ourselves in offering friendly service and building relationships where we truly get to know our clients and their pets. We also support the community by performing community service and volunteering our time with one of the local shelters.
We are experiencing client and hospital growth and searching for a candidate that is experienced and able to help us continue growing by practicing excellent quality medicine and utilizing great communication with clients and our staff. Candidates with specialization interests, especially exotics are encouraged to apply.
With our growth, we are currently undergoing hospital expansion to add 5 exam rooms for a total of 7, a staff break-room with kitchenette, dental suite and surgical preparation area estimated to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2020.

Qualifications and Skills
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
License in good standing to practice in Virginia
2+ years of experience practicing as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Job Type: Part-Time to Full-time
Full Time Salary range: $82,000.00 to $90,000
Responsibilities and Duties
Develop a rapport with clients and determine their needs and wishes; perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
Explain physical examination findings and communicate to the client a diagnosis of the pet’s problems; generate and present a treatment plan for the pet to the client; educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines, dental cleaning, and appropriate nutritional products.
Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols
Must be able to perform surgery
Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine, attend Continuing Education meetings.
Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
Other duties as assigned.
