The Lead Surgery Technician’s primary duty is to assist the Treatment Manager in any and all surgery related functions. This position serves as lead support for hospitals surgery department. Responsibilities include monitoring the surgery schedule, training new hires, advising on proper surgical and anesthetic techniques and serving as liaison for surgery technicians to the Treatment Manager.
Lead Essential Functions
Provide lead support for the hospital's team of Surgery Technicians
Lead strategies and projects aimed at improving the overall quality of surgery
Act as intermediary between the hospitals team of Surgery Technicians and Treatment Manager
Miscellaneous project work associated with surgery
Collaborate with Treatment Manager and equipment lead to resolve all equipment related issues.
This job operates in a professional hospital environment and routinely operates and maintains veterinary hospital equipment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time (40 hour) position.
Preferred Education and Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of Veterinarian Surgical Technician experience
Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure preferred (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT)
