The Department of Animal Sciences at Colorado State University supports Colorado’s vast and diverse equine and livestock industries and is responsible for educating approximately 900 undergraduate and 60 graduate students annually. Programs of study are offered to students majoring in Equine Science and Animal Science. The Equine Science major is supported by nationally recognized teaching, research, and outreach programs and consists of 11 faculty members and over 350 undergraduate and graduate students. The CSU main campus sits at the eastern base of the Rocky Mountains one hour north of metro Denver.
