Job Title: Associate Veterinarian - Mobile/Hospital Position
House Paws, a Northern Virginia practice, is looking for an enthusiastic associate veterinarian to join our long established small animal and hobby farm mobile practice based in Loudoun County Virginia. You will have the opportunity to work as a mobile veterinarian and also in our hospitals as well, if you wish. We are flexible.
We are primarily small animal, but we see area hobby farm small ruminant, camelid, equine and cattle client base. House Paws is a modern, well-equipped, professionally staffed, and independently owned practice with portable ultrasound serving a well-educated and dedicated clientele. We work up cases and practice to a high standard. Mobile clients choose our fixed location hospitals for their surgical, dental and x-ray needs.
Compensation is competitive and includes production bonuses, health, dental and vision insurance, licenses reimbursement, CE reimbursement, vacation.
Herd health checks, general wellness
Night and weekend on-call as needed ONLY for large animal emergencies (of which there are very few), rotated among ambulatory veterinarians.
Dystocias, surgery, pregnancy checks
Wellness and Comprehensive Physical Exams * Senior Pet Care
One to three years working as a practicing veterinarian helpful.
Internships, Residencies a plus
Familiarity with Cats, Dogs and Rabbits, as well as Goats, Sheep, Alpacas, Llamas, Cattle, Horses
Skills and Behaviors
Must be personable, flexible and collaborative.
Good client communication skills
Strong technical ability is essential
Solid organizational and planning ability
Additional Salary Information: Salary negotiable based on experience, no limit on production upside.
