Rural Gem of a small animal hospital near Bend, Oregon seeks a full-time experienced practice manager
Our 4-veterinarian progressive privately-owned small animal hospital, La Pine Animal Hospital, is seeking an experienced practice manager to help create accountability and consistent communication within our practice. We are just 30 minutes from Bend, Oregon. Our hospital is highly regarded in the area and many clients who live in Bend come to us for our progressive medicine and affordable prices.
La Pine is a beautiful rural area with low-cost housing, kayaking, skiing, mountain biking, lakes, fly fishing and white-water rafting! We are tucked between the snow-covered peaks of the Cascade Mountains and the inspiring high desert plateaus of Central Oregon.
About our practice:
-Easy four-day schedule (no on-call and out by 6 pm)
-Our owners, Drs. Gordon and Julie Pickering put family first. Their easy-going demeanor creates a cohesive fun team
-Positive happy staff; 4 CVTs plus three assistants
-Variety in case-mix; no day is ever the same
-4300 sq. feet with 5 exam rooms; digital whole-body x-ray, ultrasound, Heska in-house blood analyzer
-Many clients come from Bend because we are often much cheaper and have bonded with our team
-Community-based practice: we provide Christmas baskets and money to the underserved
-Generous compensation (we pay higher than Bend hospitals)
-We create personal and professional goals for each staff member
Qualities we are looking for in a practice manager:
-Proven record on management and leadership skills,
-3-5 years of practice management in the veterinary arena, with high competency in HR: creating accountability and consistent communication within the practice,
-hiring, training, scheduling, resolve employee and client issues in a win-win fashion,
-Calm and decisive with excellent follow through with veterinarians, staff, clients, and pets,
-Enjoy working and having fun.
Compensation and benefits:
-$55-70K depending on experience plus bonus,
-Medical Insurance with 4 options,
-401K with 4% match.
