Join a non-profit veterinary practice that brings care to underprivileged animals in the community, with no economic euthanasia or refusal of services due to lack of funds, using a unique model that keeps you helping the animals while the communications team focuses on the human members of the family.
Frankie’s Friends brings low or no-cost veterinary care and HQHVSN to underprivileged animals in western Pennsylvania. Just last year we spayed/neutered over 8,000 cats! In addition to our mission to reduce the number of cats on the streets and entering shelters, we have also helped many pets of low-income families who could not otherwise afford veterinary care. We have a stationary clinic 30 minutes from Pittsburgh, PA, as well as a mobile surgery unit that routinely brings low cost spay/neuter to communities in 12 different counties. There is still a critical need for affordable veterinary care to prevent unnecessary euthanasia and relinquishment of pets to shelters, and we are looking for an additional veterinarian to join us.
We have an awesome mission-centric team including two veterinarians and well-trained support staff. We are seeking a veterinarian who excels in a fast-paced environment, with a strong work ethic, initiative, creativity, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to our mission. We will happily train new (and not so new) graduates in high quality, high volume spay/neuter techniques, and provide a supportive and collaborative environment.
We have in house blood chemistry/CBC, digital radiology, and a fully equipped molecular biology lab for PCR and microbiology. We offer a competitive salary and the opportunity to truly help animals who would not otherwise receive veterinary care. Feel free to check us out at www.frankiesfriendscatrescue.org or on our Facebook site! Call 724-882-4527 with any questions!
