Associate veterinarian for 20 year established practice in middle Tennessee approximately 1 hour northwest of Nashville, TN open immediately. 5000 sq. foot clinic + 4,500 sq. ft. luxury boarding facility. Approx. 40-45 hour work week with 4 day weekend off every month. Clinic has most all the currently available "toys" including digital radiology + dental digital, In house lab but also send most out because of more comprehensive testing when needed and twice daily pickup with 8 hour result turn-around. Approximately 5-10 surgical procedures daily. Our practice philosophy is to treat all pets and owners with respect and work within the financial resources of the pet owner. We also strive to have a fun environment in which to work and also to have ample time out of the practice to pursue hobbies and other interests.
3-4 doctors on staff. Rotating emergencies until 10PM and then turned over emergency clinic with specialists within 3 miles. Associates have the opportunity to take emergency calls all night to earn extra income if they wish but not mandatory.
Willing to restart large animal side of practice for an associate wanting to do large animal work as well.
Nice rental homes owned by owner available for rent at reduced local prices. Great schools and lots of recreational activities locally as well as Nashville being only 45 minute away.
All staff work together well and clinic retains a relatively informal practice atmosphere. Current associates are great mentors.
DVM graduate and Tennessee license to practice. All levels of experience, including none, considered. Good communication skills. Emphasizes client education. Strong internal medicine interest as this is the best future for the general practitioner. Surgical interest/experience optional. Team Player.
Additional Salary Information: Negotiable. We compensate fairly based on competence, marketing skills, & proficiency. $100,000+ can be earned the first year you are here.
