What if the dog you save tonight in turn saves her family from a house fire or a home invasion a month from now? What if a child with severe autism will only relate to the cat that you just saved from a diabetic coma? If you knew that you were making a difference in not only the lives of pets but also their families, would it change how you practice? Emergency medicine will challenge you, saving lives will inspire you, and boredom will escape you. Is this why you became a veterinarian? In these times of rising veterinary suicide rates, compassion fatigue, mounting school loans, negative work-life balance, why did you become a veterinarian? It is a choice that requires a measured and informed answer. If you want to look in to the mirror at the end of the day and know that you have walked with integrity and authenticity, if you want to work with a caring, supportive and compassionate team, you may be our next veterinarian. We do not practice cookie-cutter medicine...our goal is to save lives. Find out what we are all about! Pay is commensurate with experience. We utilize a multi-doctor shared schedule which emphasizes quality of life for our veterinarians and maximizes quality of care for our patients. Doctors typically work 3 days a week. Our excellent benefits package includes medical, dental, CE, all dues and licenses including local VMA, VIN membership, vacation and sick time off, 401(k), etc. Relocation costs negotiable.
