Veterinary Associate - Full time

Fast growing, progressive, AAHA Accredited hospital in Ponchatoula looking for a courteous, motivated, hard working full time veterinarian willing to practice the latest in canine and feline medicine. We are conveniently located roughly 30 minutes from St. Tammany Parish and Baton Rouge. We are a big believer in mentorships for new veterinarians. 

Our 6,000 square foot, state of the art hospital, is a 6 doctor, paperless practice with lots of technology. Our facility has computers in each exam room, digital x-ray, tonopen and Tonovet Plus, diamond bur for corneal ulcers, doppler blood pressure, in-house hematology/chemistry/blood clotting time machines, EKG, video otoscope, dedicated ICU with 5 Heska IV pumps / 2 syringe pumps / oxygen cage, isolation ward, dedicated surgery prep for sterile procedures, advanced surgical monitoring (blood oxygen levels, EKG, body temperature, heart rate, capnography, resp. rate and blood pressure), telemetry, Ligasure unit, GE Versana Premier ultrasound unit, Storz endoscopy tower (rigid and flexible scopes) and digital dental x-ray. Our dental, radiology, endoscopy, surgical ICU, surgery prep and surgery rooms have overhead piped in oxygen and scavenger system. 

Competitive salary includes base salary + performance bonuses, 2% IRA contribution, 50% health insurance, CE stipend, dues to DEA/AAHA/AAFP/LVMA and DVM license fees. The 4 weekday and rotating Saturday schedule offers plenty of free time for family and friends.
