San Carlos Animal Hospital in San Carlos (a suburb of the beautiful San Diego) is looking for the right full-time licensed veterinarian to join our fabulous team. We are a 5-year old, full-service veterinary hospital located in a building that has been a veterinary practice for 20+ years. We are looking for an experienced veterinarian with the right attitude and skill set to help provide the best patient and client care possible. Strong surgical/dental skills would be considered a plus. Our ideal candidate would be able to work a schedule that includes weekends and would be flexible around the holidays (we are closed on most major holidays).

We are open to either a full- or part-time associate. A full-time candidate would be expected to work 4-5 days per week and we would guarantee at least one Saturday off each month, with no requirements to come in “after hours”. We operate M-F from 7-530 pm and Saturdays from 8-5 pm. We are a “paperless” practice with digital x-rays, ultrasound and Idexx lab equipment. We perform routine wellness care, dentistry and surgeries. When needed we refer emergency cases to Pet Emergency Specialty Center or Veterinary Specialty Hospital, as well as other local specialty hospital’s.

Competitive compensation would be in the Prosal (base salary and monthly production bonuses) format and our benefits for a full-time doctor include:

We have weekly team meetings to encourage open communication and collaboration within the hospital, and are hoping to implement monthly doctor meetings to standardize hospital protocols. We have a very positive team and have regular “staff appreciation” days providing goodies or outside activities for team bonding.
