Qualifications for the position include a DVM or equivalent degree and a PhD. Board certification in a relevant specialty is preferred but not required. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and teaching skills, and be able to work collaboratively with others. Salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. A background check is required for employment by the University.

The time commitment for clinical service will be negotiated in light of the amount of time devoted to the research and teaching commitments. Clinical, didactic, and/or laboratory instruction of DVM students, veterinary technician students, house officers, and graduate students will also be expected. Participation in committee work, professional organizations, delivery of continuing education, and other activities appropriate for an engaged faculty member are anticipated.
