Job description VETERINARY ASSISTANT/ TECHNICIAN REPORTS TO: Veterinary Medical Director POSITION OVERVIEW  Primary role will be to assist or perform in all practices and procedures in support of Oahu's SPCA's Wellness Clinic and Spay/Neuter Clinic. Responsibilities include client communcation, restratint, vaccination, blood collection, and medication administration. Surgery responsbilities include patient prep, monitoring, recovery and discharge. Cleans instruments and wraps surgical packs. Maintains the highest standards if cleanliness, sanitary and safety conditions. Answers animal related questions and provides client education. Utilizes care to develop cooperative relationships
