The Louise R. Lester Spay/Neuter Clinic is seeking a motivated Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our surgical team! The clinic is a newly established arm of the Martinsville-Henry County SPCA, a non-profit, no-kill shelter dedicated to rescuing, rehabbing and rehoming pets. Our mission is to provide competent and affordable spay/neuter services to reduce pet overpopulation in our community, while educating the public on the importance of humane treatment and preventative medical care for their family pets. Under the direction of the Veterinarian, the LVT will be responsible for assisting with surgeries, monitoring anesthesia, pre and post-surgical prepping and monitoring of animals for surgery, administering medical treatment and running diagnostic tests.
