Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital is seeking full-time Urgent Care Emergency Veterinarians to join our 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  The Urgent Care Emergency Veterinarians at Port City will provide outpatient care to animals with conditions that are not critical or life threatening in collaboration with our emergency and specialty team.

Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital has a well-established emergency service. We are opening an urgent care service within our ER to enable the fast tracking of patients with minor illnesses and injuries with the goal of patients being discharged within 90 minutes or less. Examples of conditions that would be treated through the urgent care service include (but are not limited to): ear infections, uncomplicated kennel cough, urinary tract infections, rashes, pyoderma, abrasions, weight bearing lameness, conjunctivitis, torn or embedded nails.

Our 15,000 square foot hospital includes 12 exam rooms, three surgery suites, a 30 cage ICU, an 8-table treatment area, a physical therapy suite, video endoscopy equipment, continuous glucose monitoring, digital radiography, CT and ultrasound. Our Emergency team includes 12 doctors, a criticalist, and more than 20 technicians, and 6 veterinary assistants. Our specialties include internal medicine, radiology, surgery, ophthalmology, oncology, and cardiology.
