Reynolds Road Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Veterinary Medical Director to lead our well-established, three-doctor practice into its next chapter of growth and excellence. As Medical Director, you will partner closely with hospital leadership to advance medical standards, mentor fellow veterinarians, and support sustainable growth while maintaining the exceptional patient care and client service our community has come to expect.

Position Overview
The Veterinary Medical Director serves as the clinical leader of the hospital, helping shape the future of the practice through medical excellence, mentorship, and strategic leadership. This role combines hands-on veterinary medicine with leadership responsibilities and offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on patients, clients, and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Clinical Excellence
- Establish and maintain high standards of medical care and clinical protocols
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to associate veterinarians
- Promote consistency in patient care, client communication, and medical outcomes
- Support quality improvement initiatives and best practices
- Inspire and Develop the Team
- Mentor veterinarians at all stages of their careers
- Foster a collaborative, positive, and growth-oriented culture
- Partner with hospital leadership on recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and retention efforts
- Lead doctor meetings and encourage continuing education and professional development
- Drive Practice Growth
- Collaborate with leadership to achieve hospital goals and performance objectives
- Identify opportunities to expand services and improve efficiency
- Support client retention and growth through exceptional medical care and client experience
- Help guide strategic initiatives that strengthen the practice for the future
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Eligible for or currently holds Ohio veterinary license
- Strong interest in small animal medicine and surgery
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and client service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Minimum of 3 years of veterinary leadership experience required
- Strong surgical skills; orthopedic experience is a plus
- Demonstrated success mentoring and developing veterinary teams
